Kintoki Cafe
- Kintoki Cafe is only based off of an actual convention cafe with the same name.
- Kintoki, meaning “golden time,” is the time when people tune in to watch their favourite shows. Kintoki Cafe, in the manga, has a few anime quirks and stereotypical anime jokes, but not anything heavy that one needs to watch a show to get the joke (hopefully).
- The maids and butlers are slightly based off of actual people, yet they are their own separate character.
Koichi High School
- Like most, if not every, Japanese high school, the grades are 10th to 12th. In America, it is 9th to 12th.
- Unlike most schools that start in the autumn season, Koichi High starts in the late winter (past Christmas and New Years) and ends in late summer (mid-August).
- Summer and Winter Breaks are the same with the other schools, just that the semesters are flipped.
- Koichi High is more of a school getting students ready for jobs into the outside world instead of going to universities.
- The tuition is not very high, yet the school does not accept everyone: how the student is doing academically and financially are their main lookouts.
The City and Town = The Area
- There is no actual name for the city as it is never said where the characters live.
- The area is divided into the suburbs which are very close to small market shops and an inn. A short bike ride, or even a few minute of walking will be Koishi High School. Farther down, past the school, there is a bus stop where people can ride the bus into the city. There are mainly large shopping centers, restaurants, hotels, and the Kintoki Cafe.
- Though not stated, Ren was born and raised in the suburban town. Jae, Maku, and Barako all live in the city. Most of the maids also live in the city.
